3PL fulfillment services in the GTA let you store inventory in the Greater Toronto Area and have a third-party logistics (3PL) partner pick, pack and ship every order for you. For brands selling into Toronto, Ontario and the rest of Canada, a GTA warehouse puts your stock close to the country’s largest group of customers and its busiest highways and airport. This guide explains what GTA 3PL fulfillment includes, which areas it covers and how to choose the right partner.
What 3PL fulfillment services include
| Service | What the 3PL does |
|---|---|
| Receiving | Unloads containers, pallets and parcels, counts the stock and checks it against your purchase order |
| Storage | Keeps your inventory on racking or pallets as part of your fulfillment program, tracked by SKU |
| Pick and pack | Picks each order, packs it in the right box or mailer and adds inserts or gift notes |
| Shipping | Prints labels and hands parcels, LTL and freight to the best carrier for each order |
| Kitting | Builds bundles, gift sets and subscription boxes before they ship |
| Returns | Receives returns, inspects them and restocks what can be resold |
| Marketplace prep | Preps and ships stock to Amazon FBA and Walmart WFS |
Why a GTA location matters
Where your inventory sits decides how fast and how cheaply you can ship. The GTA has advantages that are hard to match anywhere else in Canada:
- Close to customers: the GTA and the Golden Horseshoe are home to a large share of Canada’s online shoppers, so many orders travel a short distance.
- Highway access: Highways 401, 403, 407, 410 and 427 connect the region to the rest of Ontario, Quebec and the US border crossings.
- Toronto Pearson: Canada’s busiest airport is next door for air freight and time-sensitive shipments.
- Carrier choice: every major parcel, LTL and freight carrier picks up in the GTA every day, which keeps rates competitive.

Frequently asked questions
What are 3PL fulfillment services?
They are outsourced order fulfillment: a third-party logistics company receives and stores your inventory, then picks, packs and ships each order to your customers or to marketplaces.
Is a GTA warehouse a good choice for shipping across Canada?
Yes for most brands. The GTA is close to a large share of Canadian customers and has strong highway, rail and air links, so orders to Ontario and Quebec arrive quickly and the rest of Canada is well served by national carriers.
Can a GTA 3PL handle Amazon, Walmart and Shopify orders together?
A good 3PL can. Newsom 3PL ships direct-to-customer orders and preps stock for Amazon FBA and Walmart WFS from the same warehouse.
Do you offer storage only?
No. Storage is part of our fulfillment service. We store your inventory so we can pick, pack and ship your orders.
